Information about Mrs. O'Brien
Here is a little bit about me!
I am a proud graduate of Holy Family University with a bachelor's degree in English/Secondary Education, and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I hold an active Permanent Teaching Certificate in the state of Pennsylvania. I am currently up-to-date with all of my Act 48 Credit Hours as well. This is my 26th year teaching in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. I have worked in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties throughout my teaching career. In 2006, I returned to teaching after being home with my two boys. I worked at St. Bede the Venerable School for six years teaching seventh and eighth grade students. It is a joy to come to school every day. I learn a little bit more about each one of my students, and I continue to make happy memories along the way. I am so excited to return a new year here at St. Katharine Drexel School teaching 5th Grade again with Mrs. Romano and Ms. Galiano as well. I look forward to another exciting and wonderful year with all of our new 5th Graders.
I am a proud parent of two boys, Kevin (20) and Christopher (19). Kevin is in his third year at the University of Pittsburgh, and Christopher has begun his first year at DeSales University. We enjoy spending time at the shore in the summer in North Wildwood, and also traveling into NYC to see our annual Broadway show too.
